This Feeling is You Conceptual Album Performance at the MACBA

I used to live in Barcelona. I originally moved there in 2001 to get away from myself. I wanted to study art and my plan was to do that a tiny school called “Metaphor” for one year. I fell deeply in love with the city and ended up staying for 13.

I built a life there. Had several jobs which contributed on my journey from artist to hypnotherapist, from graphic designer to teacher until I felt comfortable enough to confidently merge all these different worlds together until I truly internalised the important belief that hypnosis is the point where art, science and magic meet. You must be confident in your ability to manipulate perspective. This is why this announcement feels like the starting point of coming full circle.

Almost twenty years later we are exhibiting something that means a lot to me in one of the world’s most interesting and important art museums MACBA – Museum of Contemporary Art Barcelona.

‘Distances at the end of the month’ is the last in a three-part cycle of events shaped by the opportunities of mental growth and connection during a pandemics’ essential need for social distancing.

We spent three years working on this album which we released during lockdown. This performance is a collective meditation experiment, a hypnotic session that will release the potential of your mind through powerful words, music and sensations. You might already be familiar with it.
